Lenny‘s involvement in the industry has spanned over 20 years, from live entertainment and production, to event management. Prior to joining MGM MIRAGE as Director of Events, he served as the General Manager for Design Group; the Minneapolis based Event Company producing events for corporate clients, and previously as the Special Events and Entertainment Manager for USA Hosts one of the top 50 meeting planning companies in the nation. He began his event career working for Harrah’s Corporation, as their Events & Entertainment Manager at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He is actively involved in the industry and has served as the president of ISES-Las Vegas.  Lenny served on the ISES International MARCOM Committee, providing monthly content to the ISES International e-news letter.   He obtained his CSEP certification, one of a limited number of certified event planners to have done so.  He is a founding member of IACEP (International Association of Corporate Entertainment Producers), and works with the association on standardizing industry practices.  As a speaker he has guest lectured at both UNLV and Temple University for their event management curriculum and been a part of the education seminars for TSE-2007 & 2009 the Special Event in Los Angeles and San Diego. He is a proponent of education in the field of events and entertainment. In November 2008 he was asked to speak about casino related special events on a panel for the G2E Global Gaming Expo held in Las Vegas.  He was part of the MGMMIRAGE Team to be honored with a GALA Award for Best Corporate Event in both 2006 & 2007. He has personally been honored with numerous WESTIE-Awards. 

In March of 2009, Lenny received the prestigious “Spotlight Award” thru Event Solutions Magazine and was named “Event Planner of the Year-Western Region” 

His connection to the events and entertainment community in Las Vegas is long standing. Lenny has lived in Las Vegas for 23-years, a majority of which was spent performing and entertaining on the Las Vegas strip. As a performer, he appeared at Caesars Palace, The Dunes, The Sands, and The Desert Inn working in various production shows and with his own band. Highlights included opening the MGM Grand, participating in the development and launch of the Gondolier attraction at the Venetian Resort and opening the Show in the Sky at the Rio. He appeared on the televised Grand Openings of the Bellagio Resort & Casino and the Venetian Hotel & Casino.

Interspersed during his performance career he quietly began a career in the special event industry. He worked for both the Calvin Klein and Estee Lauder companies as a Regional Event Coordinator for both Macy’s and Dillard’s department stores. He directed the entertainment for the opening night party of the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino, and has served as Personal Shopper for the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” whiles the show filmed in Las Vegas.
